Angelina Carberry
Angelina Carberry, born in Manchester to a Longford family rich in traditional music. She moved to Galway in the late 90s, recording the acclaimed album ‘Memories from the Holla’. A member of the all-female group Bumblebees, Angelina toured with Tony MacMahon and Barney McKenna. She received the TG4 Gradam Ceoil Musician of the Year award in 2021. Angelina’s style has evolved into one that is incredibly distinctive and has it’s own rhythmical characteristics. Angelina has released notable solo and duet albums, appeared as a guest performer on several albums, and is a renowned banjo tutor at various international festivals and summer schools.
