East Galway Presentation – The Branch Line, the iconic 1977 recording by East Galway brothers Jack and Charlie Coen
We are delighted to have Claire Keville, a longstanding respected musician, and tutor from Galway join us to present The Branch Line, the iconic 1977 recording by East Galway brothers Jack and Charlie Coen. The album’s unique repertoire reflects family tradition, with hornpipes, jigs, flings, and polkas. Claire will explore their lyrical Woodford style, brought to New York in the 1950s and captured on this rare duet LP. She will be joined by Jack & Charlies’ brother, Tony Coen, offering personal insight into this influential musical legacy.
